Biography

Fluke is a self-taught artist born in Montreal in 1983 to Polish immigrant parents. With neither French nor English as his first language, he found a means of visual communication through graffiti, which he discovered at the age of nine from the founders of Montreal's graffiti scene. He has been painting since 1995, gradually weaving texture, calligraphy and urban iconography into a distinctive personal style.

At twenty-one, he began working as a social worker at Café Graffiti, quickly taking charge of its artistic department and managing a team of muralists. In 2009, he co-founded ASHOP Productions with fellow artists, building it into one of Canada's leading urban art agencies, combining mural production, design and consulting. This dual role as artist and entrepreneur has helped shape Montreal's mural landscape.

Now recognised as a Canadian figure in the global contemporary urban art movement, the artist has produced work in the United States, France, Hong Kong and New Zealand. He has taken part in Montreal's Festival MURAL and his pieces are listed by Art Public Montréal. His practice has expanded into 3D concepts, sculptural forms and public installations.
