Biography

Dodo Ose, born Doryan Ose in Lyon in 1985, spent his teenage years in the south of France, where he discovered graffiti, before studying at the Beaux-Arts in Cannes and transitioning from urban art toward traditional painting. His first gallery exhibitions took place during that period. In 2010, seeking new challenges, he moved to Montreal, drawn by the city's vibrant artistic energy.

In Montreal, the artist joined two major collectives: the A'Shop crew, renowned for its large-scale colourful murals, and K6A. These collaborations helped him refine a style that blends aerosol and watercolour, rooted in highly rendered surreal portraiture. Playing with symbolism and universal archetypes, he builds dreamlike landscapes where the figurative and the imaginary merge, seeking to capture the abstract feelings that dance behind closed eyelids.

He has taken part in Montreal's Festival MURAL and painted a piece for Le MUR Oberkampf in Paris. His work is listed by Art Public Montréal and covered by outlets including Street Art News, Beware Magazine and Street Art United States. Based in Montreal, he continues to push his practice forward, constantly innovating in both technique and subject matter.
