Biography
Derf is a French self-taught urban artist born in 1984, based in Bordeaux. Introduced to graffiti in the early 2000s, he first honed his craft within the Bordeaux scene before exploring, from 2014 onward, a figurative style between realism and illustration centred on female and animal portraits.
His work stands out for its fusion of photography and graffiti, drawing on the American Pop Art movement. His murals depict women's faces with striking gazes, rendered in vibrant colours with a keen sense of framing and light. Each piece is signed with a small stencilled self-portrait in the lower right corner.
