Biography
Born in 1976 in Rives, near Grenoble, Petite Poissone trained at the École supérieure d'arts et médias de Caen, earning a diploma in arts and techniques. Working as an illustrator, children's book author and graphic designer, she took to the streets in 2011, pasting poetic phrases and drawings on walls across France.
Her practice centres on text rather than image. By borrowing the visual language of museums — clean typography, framed labels, institutional formatting — she disrupts the urban landscape with messages that shift between wit, absurdity and feminism. She also produces handmade artist books drawn from daily notebooks, and has published titles including Erratum and Des vies partagées, both released in 2021.
Based in Grenoble, the artist's work can be found in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bayonne and Rennes. She contributed to Street Art Fest Grenoble in 2022, took over Le MUR in Paris in 2021, and exhibited at CHRD Lyon for the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. In 2022, she created a public campaign for Grenoble-Alpes Métropole addressing workplace gender-based violence, extending her engagement well beyond the street.
