Biography

Originally from Lier, near Antwerp, Joachim Lambrechts first encountered graffiti at the age of six while riding the tram with his grandmother through the streets of Antwerp. He enrolled at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts at fifteen but left before graduating to immerse himself fully in the city's graffiti scene, honing his skills directly on its walls.

His style, often described as graffiti-pop, is instantly recognisable through colourful characters with multiple eyes and prominent teeth, blending comic book energy, Picasso's cubism and the spontaneity of Keith Haring. The artist combines humour, childlike exuberance and complex compositions in murals that turn building facades into oversized pages from an illustrated book.

Active internationally, he has painted in cities worldwide and exhibited in galleries across Antwerp, London and New York. His Lier Up project — a series of fourteen murals created with the authorities of his hometown — marked a career milestone. His work is held in the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection and displayed at the Mausa museum in France.
