Biography
Born and raised in Valencia, David de Limón discovered graffiti at seventeen before studying photography, graphic design and fine arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where he earned a diploma in applied arts. He began painting in the streets of the El Carmen district in 1998, adopting a pseudonym inspired by the lemon — a counterpoint to the orange, symbol of his home city.
His signature is a hooded ninja character in black and white, bearing a circle on its chest that shifts to reflect different moods, with hundreds of variations scattered across Valencia's walls. The artist champions positive, accessible street art, using his characters to brighten facades and engage passers-by. A member of the Wall Attitude collective, he advocates for the promotion and recognition of urban art.
Beyond the street, he takes on mural commissions, teaches art at the Barreira school in Valencia and works in graphic design. His ninjas, now emblematic of Valencia's street art scene, appear on prints and merchandise, marking the transition from a street character to a fixture of the city's visual culture.
