Biography

Cost is a French graffiti artist born in Paris in 1982. Self-taught, he has been drawing since childhood and entered the graffiti world in 1996, driven by the hip-hop culture of the 1990s. He joined the TPK crew, a Parisian collective active notably around Pigalle, as well as the OVK, ER, IAC and HLM crews, multiplying identities and surfaces over the years.

His speciality is "elevation" — pieces executed at height that have become his signature. His work shifts between detailed black-and-white graphic compositions and more colourful frescoes. He is equally at ease with spray paint, charcoal, canvas and wall decoration. The group show "TPK & Friends" at Aerosol Paris marked a milestone for the crew's visibility, alongside collaborations with Cannibal Letters and Escat.

Beyond mural work, he exhibits in galleries — "Bahia" at Galerie 23 (Paris 10th), "Les Capucines du Street Art" (Paris 9th), "Esprit Street" (Charenton) — and collaborates with local authorities to teach painting and drawing to children. Now fully dedicated to his artistic output, he also works with private clients and businesses on mural decoration projects.
