Biography
Originally from the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany, the artist settled in Rennes where he began in 2015 by pasting colourful, punchy stickers across the city's streets. Influenced by artists such as WAR, Pablito Zago and Freaks the Fab, he quickly built a world populated by bright little monsters designed to surprise passers-by in unexpected corners.
His practice soon moved beyond stickers into collages on wood, paper and vinyl, favouring recycled materials — barrel staves, corrugated metal and reclaimed boards. He combines aerosol spray, acrylic paint and Posca markers to craft expressive characters with organic shapes. Each street intervention is conceived as a visual treasure hunt, encouraging art lovers to explore the city with fresh eyes.
Touboulik has gradually expanded his reach beyond Rennes, scattering pieces in La Rochelle, Orléans, Paris and Saint-Malo. His works on recycled supports have also been shown in gallery settings, including ARTree and the exhibition "Touboulik se recycle" in Orléans.
