Biography
Born in 1991 in Brasilia, Daniel Toys started tagging at the age of eleven while skateboarding in the Guará neighbourhood. Since childhood, he drew comic strips and experimented with his own characters before discovering graffiti at thirteen. He went on to study advertising and communications, a background that shaped his sense of composition and visual impact.
His style stands out through geometric forms, distinctive lettering, straight lines and vibrant colours, populated by playful characters and layered textures. He regularly collaborates with Mikael Omik, a Brasilia-based artist known for organic, figurative strokes. Together they strike a balance between two worlds — the geometric and the organic — blending pop art, graffiti, cartoons, architecture and Brazilian folk art into large-scale murals.
Toys has painted walls across several Brazilian cities as well as in Argentina, Chile, Spain and Portugal. The duo has exhibited at Hidden and Mercadito in Brasilia and given talks on graffiti and urban art. Their work is documented on Street Art Addict and Arte Sem Fronteiras.
