Arkane

Arkane, an artist from Avignon, draws heavily from cinema to create a subtle and sometimes deconstructed artistic style. He uses lighting and framing to explore sensations, anxieties, and taboos in intimate genre scenes, inviting viewers to take on the role of privileged witnesses. His work celebrates B-movies.

Arkane practices both painting and photography, two distinct disciplines that allow him to explore similar themes and create a cohesive artistic universe, much like a road movie. He discovered graffiti nearly 10 years ago, which enabled him to reconcile his very different passions and unite them around a common goal, using urban supports.
