Biography

Pang Fan, known as Fansack, was born in Chengdu, Sichuan province. He started painting on walls while still in high school, alongside the few graffiti writers active in China at the time. In 2008, a meeting with artist Kongo brought him to France, where he studied art at the Sorbonne while developing his practice within the Parisian street art scene. He spent over a decade living between Paris and Chengdu.

A constant experimenter, he built a distinctive graphic language blending sci-fi, pop culture and traditional Chinese imagery. On large canvases and varied surfaces, he explores the power of colour and the intensity of line to produce optical illusion effects. His work reflects the dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures — China as a source of mystery and romanticism, France as a vector of rationality and passion.

After returning to China in 2019, having moved through the fine-art circuits of Paris, Hong Kong and Taipei, Fansack has taken on numerous commercial and institutional collaborations in Chengdu. His work is documented on Artsy and ACA Project, and shown through galleries Sixtinee and Widewalls.
