Biography

Born in Conchalí on the outskirts of Santiago, Ernesto Guerrero Celis — known as Pititore — spent years working in banking before devoting himself fully to muralism. In 2013, he relocated to Concepción in the Biobío region, which became the primary setting for his art. Trained as an illustrator and graphic designer, he developed a colorful, socially engaged style rooted in Chilean popular memory.

Since 2008, the artist has pursued community-driven mural work dedicated to the patrimonial memory of neighborhoods, ancestral cultures, and the music of the Biobío region. Notable projects include murals at the University of Concepción and throughout the streets of Penco, blending historical tributes with social commentary. His art serves as a tool for raising awareness of injustice while celebrating the pride of Chilean communities.

Founder of the CUMA-ART movement — a community-focused "cultural swarm" dedicated to new creative trends — he also works internationally, painting murals honoring Violeta Parra and Atahualpa Yupanqui in Argentina. A member of the Concegraff collective, he represents Chile on the Latin American street art scene.
