Biography
Beast is an anonymous Italian street artist based in Milan, active since 2009. He started out on walls with a stencil practice before developing his signature technique, blending large-scale printed digital collage with painted intervention. His work draws on the Italian tradition of satirical political commentary — from Renato Guttuso's public murals to the engaged photography of the 1970s.
The artist built his reputation through monumental portraits of political figures — Berlusconi, Renzi, Le Pen, Merkel, Salvini, Draghi, Trump — recast into absurd or infantilising scenes. In 2019 he was invited to the Street Art Fest Grenoble-Alpes, where he produced "Our Time in the Universe", a 12 by 6 metre mural on rue François Raoult: Donald Trump in his underwear, perched on a pogo stick painted in the colours of the American flag — a savage metaphor for political power reduced to child's play. Represented by MTArt Agency in London, he exhibits in European galleries while pursuing his urban interventions.
While maintaining strict anonymity — no photos, no civil identity made public — Beast has made political satire his trademark, recently extending it to themes of collective memory and cultural history. His official site beaststreetart.com and Instagram account @beastwalls document an expanding body of work that now reaches from Italy to France, the United Kingdom and the United States.
