Biography

Jean-François Guibillon, known as Jef Graffik, is a Breton graffiti artist based in Redon who has been active for around fifteen years. Self-taught in freehand aerosol, he specializes in portraits of young women gazing directly at the viewer, painted on the walls of industrial wastelands whose degraded surfaces heighten by contrast the colorful beauty of his figures.

Two sites of free expression hold the core of his work: the Halle Garnier in Redon and Le Transformateur in Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon, two industrial ruins separated by the Vilaine river where around twenty pieces bear his signature, sometimes created in collaboration with guest artists. His compositions, often tinged with melancholy, play on the tension between the fragility of abandoned surfaces and the vibrancy of his chromatic portraits.

Rooted in the Breton urban landscape, he also participates in events beyond his home territory, such as the Just Do Paint festival in Saint-Brieuc. His work transforms the industrial remnants of the Redon area into open-air galleries, turning forgotten sites into recognized street art destinations.
