Biography
Lélé, also known as Dabanadadou, is a graffiti artist and graphic designer based in the Rennes metropolitan area, active since the mid-2010s. Emerging from the Breton street art scene, he has developed a distinctive pictorial universe centered on primates, rendered as vibrant murals on the walls of industrial zones and urban wastelands.
His signature motif — monkeys painted in every conceivable form — can be found across numerous walls around Rennes, particularly in Chantepie and the Loges industrial estate, where his piece La Planète des Singes completed in April 2017 remains one of his most widely documented works. Operating under the 2L Studio banner, he blends aerosol painting with graphic arts and regularly collaborates with fellow artists from the Breton scene.
Beyond his Rennes-based walls, he takes part in collective events such as the Pav'Art festival near Châteaugiron, contributing to the vitality of street art in Ille-et-Vilaine. His simian compositions, both playful and expressive, turn urban surfaces into open-air bestiaries.
