A reproduction of Hokusai's famous Japanese woodblock print The Great Wave off Kanagawa (1831) painted on a Montreal brick wall, with the swirling wave in the characteristic dark blue and white of the Japanese master. The flat rendering and color fields faithful to the original print create a work that is both homage and street art in its own right. A mural reinterpretation of one of the most famous images in world art history.
