Where to find street art in Olivet (France)

Olivet is part of the broader street art movement that took shape across the Orléans metropolitan area during the 2010s. The ROADS festival, launched in 2015 by students from IAE Orléans, and the Mur Orléans — a monthly rotation wall active since 2017 — helped build a graffiti culture that extends into the surrounding communes, including Olivet.

The most documented spot lies under the road overpass towards Orléans La Source, where lettering, character pieces and figurative works have accumulated since 2016, with influences ranging from wildstyle to manga and pop culture. Graffiti is also present on the walls of industrial zones and vacant lots across the commune, accounting for around twenty catalogued works.

The commune feeds into a creative ecosystem shaped by artists such as M. Chat (Thoma Vuille), known for yellow cats across Orléans, and MiFAMOSA, whose colourful mosaics appear above street name signs throughout the metropolitan area. The Orléans Val de Loire tourist office offers guided street art tours covering works across the whole agglomeration, including those found in Olivet.
