Agnė Juršytė, a prolific artist with a noteworthy career, boasts an impressive portfolio that includes more than 10 solo exhibitions, both within Lithuania and on the international stage. She has also been an active participant in numerous group exhibitions and international symposiums. Since 2008, she has been a valued member of the Lithuanian Artist's Association, and her journey as a professional artist began after successfully obtaining her MA in Graphic Arts from the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
Initially focusing her artistic interests on graphic arts, Agnė has curated multiple personal exhibitions showcasing her proficiency in these techniques. However, her artistic evolution has led her to a growing fascination with the realm of painting. Her art is characterized by expansive canvases adorned with vibrant colors that, to her, symbolize the industrial world. She is deeply concerned with the societal challenges arising from the relentless pursuit of "progress" driven by technology, often at the cost of human well-being. In her view, art possesses the potential to serve as both a therapeutic and intellectual force in addressing these issues or, at the very least, in bringing them to light for more accessible solutions in other domains.
Agnė's body of work has been intentionally thought-provoking, designed to create tension between opposing forces and convey the discomfort of residing in the space between them. Painting, she asserts, is her life's passion, and she interprets the world through the interplay of combinations and shades. Each individual and every narrative she encounters is, for Agnė, a unique hue in the broader spectrum of life.
