Simona Accattatis was born in Rome in 1970. She studied arts, music and performance (DAMS) at the University of Bologna before moving to Lisbon, where she earned a drawing degree from the Fine Arts School in 2014. Her distinctive visual language revolves around recurring figures — robots, cats and hybrid creatures — drawn onto pages salvaged from old schoolbooks in a technique she calls "palimpses…
