On a metal roller shutter on Rue du Vieil Hôpital in Nantes, Ador depicted hands and forearms pressing against the metal surface, in a hyperrealistic rendering in shades of brown. This gesture of contact, both vulnerable and expressive, illustrates the realistic and emotional register that Ador can also handle.
