Where to find street art in Dijon (France)
Dijon's street art scene took shape in the 2010s under the impetus of the association Zutique Productions. The M.U.R. project (Modulable, Urbain, Réactif) placed an 8×4-metre wall in the city centre, refreshed every three months with new commissioned works. Labelled a Ville d'art et d'histoire, the city now hosts over thirty murals spread across its neighbourhoods.
The Fontaine d'Ouche district holds several monumental works: Kalouf painted an 18-metre pink flamingo on the Berry building, and Difuz completed a 750 m² mural across 14 floors in 2024. In Grésilles, Eltono created a participatory piece with local youth under the covered market in 2016. The city centre features Mantra's "Mémoires d'automne" on Rue des Godrans and a mural by Arkane at Place Émile Zola.
The Banana Pschit festival brings together over thirty artists each year for live painting sessions and exhibitions. Mantra (Youri Cansell), known for large-scale insect-themed paintings, is one of the most prominent names associated with the local scene. The artist Invader has also placed six Space Invader mosaics throughout the city, trackable via the Flash Invader app.
