Where to find street art in Morlaix (France)

Street art in Morlaix developed in the 2010s through the work of Zag (Georges Zannol), a specialist in anamorphosis and trompe-l'œil, and Gwendal Larher. In 2019, Anje Lag and Zag launched the MX29 Graffiti Tour — "MX" for Morlaix, "29" for the Finistère department — bringing together around thirty artists along a three-kilometre route through the town.

The route winds through the historic town centre, passing the former Tobacco Manufactory where Zag's mural "La Morlaisienne" has become an iconic piece. Rue Villeneuve is home to Kaldea's "La Sirène." Since April 2025, the funicular tunnel hosts "Obsidian, la légende du Dragon," an immersive exhibition by seven international artists including Tramber, Akhine, and Guy Denning.

Rebranded as the Morlaix Arts Tour and organised by the association Takad Grafañ, the festival won two consecutive Golden Street Art Awards in 2021 and 2022, notably for Leon Keer's "Kit de secours." Guided street art tours run by the local tourist office allow visitors to explore the permanent works scattered across this Finistère town.
